March AFB CA, Fall Protection Inspection/Certification Award

The 452nd Maintenance Squadron, located at March Air Reserve Base, CA, supports aircraft maintenance for the KC-135 and C-17 aircraft.

In Jun-2020 VES was awarded a 1-year contract, with 4 twelve-month options, to perform  annual Fall Protection Inspection of 3M systems installed within three maintenance hangars (bldgs 423, 2303, & 2306). Under this contract, VES performs a hands-on inspection of all installed components of the fall protection system, including Verification of the end and intermediate termination lugs, tightening/torque of all lock-nuts and termination bolts, inspection of cotter pins, inspect for component or damage to cables, and provide photo documentation of minor repairs performed.

Work is performed using 40-foot scissor lifts and an 80-foot boom lift to reach heights exceeding 60 feet.
